The Etna Tour is one of the most requested excursions because is the easiest way to discover Etna Volcano. The tour includes an itinerary step by step, stopping several times to appreciate places of great naturalistic interest within the Etna Park.
Starting from the traditional Etna countryside: Montata Grande in Trecastagni town. Once parked your car, you’ll have the chance to take your time for a coffee, cappuccino or a glass of granita. The tour will start from here by our car to appreciate much better different places along our driving: old lava fields, volcanoes, forest and gorgeous landscapes.
We’re gonna walk on the rim of a lateral volcano. We will also let you experience the thrill of descending into the meanders of the volcano by visiting a lava flow cave (lava tube) equipped with a speleologist’s helmet and lights, to understand the phenomena connected to the flow of lava. The breathtaking view to the Bove Valley, taking a look to Taormina, Giardini Naxos and the italian toe, it will be our last stage before the most interisting stop of our tour: the free food tasting! Our nature guides will enrich your excursion by illustrating, in simple and clear language for everyone, the countless natural and volcanological aspects of the largest volcano in Europe, designated a UNESCO heritage site since 2013.

A short briefing about the whole tour and by the guide's car, we're gonna move all around the Etna volcano up to the lunch time.
Back at Montata Grande, you’ll have the chance to taste the dishes we discussed during the tour with a complimentary tasting included in the experience. Moreover you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional lunch with the flavors our grandparents cherished: charcuterie, cheese, fresh vegetables, and more. For the little ones, we offer a special children’s menu with cutlets and French fries.
No, it’s not necessary. However, we recommend wearing long trousers, sneakers (no sandals or flip-flops), and bringing a sweater or jacket, as it can be windy or cooler at 2,000 meters (6,000 feet).
It’s up to you. You can purchase still or sparkling water before departure. Eating in the car is not allowed, but you’re welcome to bring food to enjoy during the stops along the way.
