Our half-day trek on Mount Etna is a unique experience, perfect for those who wish to explore the volcano without facing overly challenging elevation changes. Starting from Montata Grande, our winery and meeting point, we’ll set out on an exciting adventure to discover the most fascinating areas of Etna.
The route will take us through spectacular lava fields and across ancient extinct craters, remnants of the volcano’s long eruptive history. A highlight of the tour is a visit to an intriguing lava cave, safely accessible, where we’ll uncover the secrets of underground lava formations. From there, we’ll continue to the famous Valle del Bove, a vast volcanic depression offering breathtaking views of lava flows and allowing us to observe the Etnean landscape from a unique perspective.
Along the way, our expert guide will be by your side, providing in-depth explanations about the volcano, its geological history, and local flora and fauna. The trek follows well-marked trails with moderate elevation changes, ensuring an enjoyable and accessible walk.
At the end of the excursion, we’ll return to Montata Grande, where guests can relax with a complimentary tasting of typical Etna products. Additionally, those who wish may take the opportunity to stay at our winery to enjoy lunch or an aperitif in a welcoming atmosphere, surrounded by the charm of this extraordinary area.
